Dual Shades are a light-filtering fabric shade made with a solid black shade in one package. The layer of fabric allows you to tone down natural light as the blackout layer averts glare and heat to provide you with privacy and comfort at any moment of the day.
What do I use to select an appropriate garment and color of my Dual Shade?
The process of matching colors will be taken through our design department, where the swatches and online previews will be available. We advise that we use a neutral or muted color scheme in the living rooms and brighter colors in accent rooms. The transparency, the texture and the pattern of the fabric can affect the mood of the room, you can take samples until you have decided.
Does Dual Shade installation require more complex installation than single shade?
Not at all. The Dual Shade is a standard two sheet system which when installed, is installed just as we do any other blinds. You will get one, unified unit which folds and rolls without any additional hardware or additional care.
What does Dual Shades need to be maintained?
The two layers can be rinsed in the machine or cleaned with a little detergent. Periodically inspect the brackets and cords. To maintain the fabric in perfect condition and to test the blackout layer on the presence of any moisture or mildew we suggest the professional cleaning quarterly.
Do I have the option of changing a single shade to a Dual Shade at a later stage?
Yes! Should you find you would like the added privacy or the benefits of being able to control the amount of light, we can add the upgrade of your existing blinds to be upgraded to Dual Shades. Our technicians shall evaluate the existing mounting and do appropriate adjustments to accommodate the new unit. We can also give you a free consultation.
